নজরুল ইসলাম (ঝিনাইদহ) প্রতিনিধিঃ-ঝিনাইদহের কালীগঞ্জ উপজেলার রঘুনাথপুর গ্রামে এক চোরকে চুরিরত অবস্থায় ধরে পুলিশের হাতে তুলে দিয়েছে উত্তেজিত জনতা। (১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি) রোববার রঘুনাথপুর গ্রামের মাঠ থেকে এক কৃষকের বাইসাইকেল চুরি করে পালানোর সময় হাতে নাতে ধরা পরে হাসিবুল জামান (২২) নামে এক চোর। সে ঝিনাইদহ সদর উপজেলার হাট গোপালপুর তেহদ্দাহ গ্রামের মৃত সোরাব আলীর ছেলে।

উক্ত মামলার বাদী কৃষক সাইদুল ইসলাম বলেন, আমি কৃষক মানুষ, আমি রাস্তার পাশে সাইকেলটি রেখে আখের জমিতে কাজ করছিলাম, চোর সুযোগ পেয়ে সাইকেলটি নিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় স্থানীয়রা দেখে হাতে নাতে ধরে ফেলে। স্থানীয়রা লোকজন জানান, চোর হাসিবুলের ভাষ্যমতে জানা যায় তার সাথে আরও দু’ জন চোর আছে তারা মোটরসাইকেলে রঘুনাথপুর বাজারে রেখে যায় এবং তাকে বলেন আমরা সামনে আছি তুই সাইকেল নিয়ে কালীগঞ্জের দিকে চলে আসবি।

এ বিষয়ে কালীগঞ্জ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা ওসি মুহাঃ মাহফুজুর রহমান মিয়া ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, অটককৃত চোরের বিরুদ্ধে চুরির মামলা হয়েছে। সেই মামলায় তাকে ঝিনাইদহ আদালতের মাধ্যমে জেলা কারাগারে পাঠানো হয়েছে। এবং জানাগেছে তার বিরুদ্ধে যশোর- ঝিনাইদহে ৪ টি মামলা আছে।
